andrejpejics:

remember that graphic of a bunch of popular tumblr slash ships that said “we are never ever ever getting together”

that was gross

try to consider that real queer ppl ship these ships because they have nothing else

try to consider that you’re demonizing women for liking male characters and male dynamics instead of demonizing the writers who only write interesting characters and dynamics that are male

No matter what is beyond my control, nothing will ever make me less than a woman. I am and will always be a powerful woman.

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn. And I write a lot about Bahorel.

I write him as a giant guy with tattoos, and use Jason Momoa as a fancast.

And you know what?

I have never, not once, been accused of hyper-masculinizing him. We’re given no indication…

zombiecowboy:

i had this cute anon a few days ago requesting more Les Mis doodles so here you go!
a quick note: the struggle between ‘Apollonian’ and ‘Dionysian’ has prolly been brought up in the fandom before but its whole ordeal reminded me a lot of ExR and of how they represent both these parts of human nature (apollonian being order and balance and rationality, dionysian being chaos and oversaturation animal instincts in a nutshell, you can read about it here ty wiki)
(i only ever drew les mis like once i have no idea how you guys find me except for that one pic but not complaining); drawn on the subway/café, it’s funny how my favorite character will forever be javert but the character i’ve drawn the most is by far grantaire

► Les Mis Greek Gods AU || Combeferre as Athena     ↪ GODDESS OF WISDOM, WISE COUNSEL, WAR, AND HEROIC ENDEAVOUR

“Only-begotten, noble race of Zeus, blessed and fierce, who joyest in caves to rove: O warlike Pallas, whose illustrious kind, ineffable, and effable we find : magnanimous and famed, the rocky height, and groves, and shady mountains thee delight: in arms rejoicing, who with furies dire and wild the souls of mortals dost inspire. Gymnastic virgin of terrific mind, dire Gorgon’s bane, unmarried, blessed, kind: mother of arts, impetuous; understood as fury by the bad, but wisdom by the good. Female and male, the arts of war are thine, O much-formed, Drakaina, inspired divine: over the Phlegraion Gigantes, roused to ire, thy coursers driving with destructive dire.”

( Orphic Hymn 31 to Athena )

About three things I was absolutely positive: First, Enjolras was a revolutionary. Second, there was a part of him–and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for the freedom of the people. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
